Another Gold Nugget found

4th. April 1999 -- The gold nugget shown shown above was found by a local goldfields resident who said he found it about three years ago in the Blucher Reef area at Maryborough. The nugget was found on an area that had been pushed by a dozer and was approximately 4 feet 6 inches (1.5 metres) deep. The nugget when found was embedded in quartz and weighed 8 ounces and 18 pennyweights and after cleaning in acid now weighs 5 ounces and 6 pennyweights.
