Nugget find revealed

23rd. May 1999 -- A customer who we have known for many years brought the gold nugget shown above into our store for us to photograph. He found it on the 1st. of October 1997 in thick scrubby country at Kingower. He said it was in virgin ground with a single exploratory digging about 30 feet away. The nugget weighed 13 ounces 17 pennyweights 9 grains as shown above and was found lying approximately 12 inches deep in a sandy whitish loam.
