Local prospector's Gold find

23rd. August 1999 -- A local prospector found the specimen nugget above on a recent trip to Western Australia. The nugget was found between Leonora and Laverton last July. The quartz holds 7.6 ounces of gold and was discovered at a depth of 18 inches in an open flat area.
