Weekend prospector's Gold finds
6th. September 1999 -- A customer who describes himself as a weekend prospector brought a collection of his latest finds in to show us today. The gold was found over a 5 week period by the customer detecting in the local Dunolly, Maryborough and Talbot areas. The largest piece is 5 pennyweights (8 grams) and the smallest is less than 1 grain(.05 gram). The depths ranged from several inches deep to surface gold.
