Gold specimen found by prospector

2nd. October 1999 -- A local prospector found the gold nugget specimen shown above south of Avoca about a week ago. It was found in an open area in semi bushed, gently undulating country. The nugget specimen weighed 1 ounce 8 pennyweights 3 grains and was found with an 18 inch Coiltek DD coil at a depth of 8 inches sitting on top of hard clay.
