Another prospector's Gold finds
15th. November 1999 -- A local weekend prospector brought a collection of his latest finds in to show us today. The gold was found in the Dunolly Goldfields. He said that he had only recently found it in virgin ground well away from the main diggings, although a very small run dug by the old timers was close by. The ground was extremely mineralised and on the verge of being unworkable. The largest piece weighed in at 5 pennyweights 12 grains with the remainder ranging down to 2 grains for an all up weight of 1 ounce 7 pennyweights.
