Gold specimen found by prospector

18th. January 2000 -- Another prospector found the gold nugget specimen shown in the photos above. The specimen weighs 9 ounces 12 pennyweights and contains an estimated 6 ounces 16 pennyweights of gold. The nugget was found in bush near Avoca on the 11th. December 1999 at a depth of 12 inches just off some old diggings. The prospector who found it was using a SD2100 with a Coiltek Elliptical coil and he has called the nugget "The Rock of Ages".
