Visiting Prospector's Gold nugget finds

12th. May 2000 -- Today a prospector visiting the Dunolly area showed us the gold he has found over the last one and a half days. The photos above show the gold nuggets that he found however only the two larger nuggets were turned over for the second photograph. They weigh a total of 3 ounces 4 pennyweights 13 grains with the largest nugget weighing 1 ounce 12 pennyweights 3 grains. The nuggets were all found within the Dunolly Goldfields in virgin ground not far from some old workings and the deepest was not more than10 inches.
