Another patch found by local prospector

18th. August 2000 -- The nuggets shown above were found over a two day period by a weekend prospector. They were found in the Ararat goldfields on some old diggings which had received little attention in the past. The area was thickly scrubbed & required a great deal of persistence & effort to work. The largest nugget weighed in at 8 pennyweights 17 grains while the smallest weighed 12 grains for an all up total weight of 1 ounce 10 pennyweights 12 grains.
