Gold Nuggets total weight - 19 dwts 3 gr
30th. May1997 -- The gold nuggets shown in the photograph above were found in just 15 minutes during a short prospecting trip by a local Dunolly youth. The nuggets were found just out side of the Dunolly township earlier today and were brought in to our shop by the lucky finder to weigh for him. The largest weighed 14dwts. (pennyweights) 3gr. (grains) and was found about 12 inches deep. The other nuggets were all fond at a shallow depth and weighed in at 1dwt 19gr. , 1dwt. 5gr. , 1dwt. , 12gr. and 10gr. respectively. The finder reports (while not disclosing exactly where) that they were found in rather open flattish country.
