22nd. September 2001 -- Specimen gold found by local prospector in the Dunolly / Tarnagulla goldfields. The gold was found in an old refuse heap of clay and rocks at a depth of 6 inches using a White's GMT. Although no large gold is contained in the specimen it is estimated that there is in excess of 1 ounce of fine gold contained in the quartz and associated minerals.
