A Gold Nugget from Talbot

28th. June 2002 -- The gold nugget shown above was found in the Talbot area early last June by a professional prospector from the Maryborough district. The nugget was found in a rather flat area of what appeared to be virgin ground at a measured depth of 22 inches. the prospector was usind a SD2200 with a 24 inch coil and a 12 volt system. The total weight of the nugget was 441.5 grams (or 14 ounces 4 pennyweights.
