Gold Nugget found on surface near Dunolly
25thFebruary 2003 -- The solid gold nugget shown above has not been cleaned since it was found by a local prospector. The nugget weighs 2 ounces 7.2 pennyweights or 73.4 grams and was found sitting on top of the ground near Dunolly late November 2002. If you look closely you can still see some small areas of moss on it.
