Gold Nugget Specimen - 74 ozs estimated

31st. May1997 -- The lucky customer who found the Gold Specimen Nugget pictured above says he found it several weeks ago in the Tarnagulla area. The nugget weighing some 74 ounces is estimated (by a specific gravity test) to contain 64 ounces of actual gold. The customer says it was found in virgin scrub country lying just under the surface of the ground and was associated with several smaller gold nuggets which he also found at the same time.
