Bookings are necessary on longer distance train and V/Line services. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance o V/Line country services and Interstate journeys.
All services are fully air-conditioned and non-smoking, some services have catering and are shown on timetable. Most services are alcohol free.

Telephone bookings should be made during normal trading hours - 9am to 5.30pm weekdays and 9am to 12.00pm midday on Saturdays (Eastern Standard Time). Phone bookings can usually be confirmed on the spot while all other bookings will need to be confirmed.State of Victoria time zone
