SuperFix

SuperFix "the final stage upgrade" that completes your SD or GP detector.

Finders unique SuperFix has been designed to be used with Minelab SD & GP model detectors and is the final result of many months Research & Development.

What is SuperFix?

SuperFix is not a simple add on audio amplifier or "enhancer" like all the other add on audio devices currently being marketed for SD, GP and other detectors.

SuperFix has been specifically designed to be used exclusively with Minelab SD & GP model detectors, and offers prospectors many advantages and detection options not previously available to them.

SuperFix intercepts the existing Minelab SD & GP audio output signal, extracting and then interpreting the information it contains far more precisely than any human operator is capable of doing. Using a complex multistage signal processing technique that is first and foremost a audio signal interpreter, and secondly a audio signal modifier, to achieve it's final outcome.

The original Minelab detector audio information is firstly modified, then interpreted by SuperFix so that all useful information contained upon it is extracted.  This extracted information enables SuperFix to recognise a high/low or a low/high target signature from all other confusing signals, this target signature is then reconstructed by SuperFix to provide a corresponding "High Tone" or "Low Tone" positive audio output, while most other extraneous ground generated noises, and any other inherent detector generated noises that mask those small target signals are eliminated.  This modified information is finally represented to the end user in a completely revamped form, providing a steady and stable threshold, and a clear precise target signal ("beep") which sounds over the target centre making target pinpointing more positive.

Other features included in SuperFix are,  --  Audio Soft Start eliminates loud burst of sound at switch on when using headphones - unique two tone target identification.  --  an overload warning signal when the SD or GP detector goes into overload over a target, indicating you should lift your coil  --  A Master ON/OFF switch that overrides the normal detector power switch, and also allows the correct phase for the model detector being used to be selected --  both 6.5mm & 3.5mm Stereo headphone jacks providing binaural 2 tone target ID  --  A CHANNEL selection switch allows either "High Tone (small fast) Targets" or "Low Tone (large slow) Targets" to be exclusively searched for  --  When selectively searching in one channel mode targets of the opposite type are still heard as a momentary null of the threshold level  -- May be used in silent search mode without any loss of target sensitivity --  Inbuilt speaker with  a separate On/Off switch  --  Existing detector sensitivity and depth is fully maintained and in many situations may be significantly improved.

Operators will find that mono coils may now be used on most noisy ground that would normally require a DD coil enabling more sensitivity and depth to be obtained. SuperFix has been designed for use with the manufacturers standard range of  searchcoils, with the 8" mono searchcoil being the standard performance criteria, however it may also be used with after market searchcoils of all configurations and sizes.

SuperFix also eliminates almost all mains electrical interference which many customers consistently report to us becomes more pronounced after wet periods, or at certain times of the day, frustrating them so much that in most cases they just pack up and go home. Random impulse interference can also vary in both frequency and intensity at certain times and this can be virtually eliminated with careful setting of the Sensitivity control.

SuperFix now offers all Minelab SD & GP owners a significant upgrade path for all model detectors from the SD2000 to the GP3500.

Super Fix is truly the missing link for all SD & GP model detectors
Unique concept providing clear target recognition

SuperFix is a spin off from our Project Titan R&D and while we expect to use a variant of the technology in other future projects this version has been specially customised for Minelab P.I. detectors.  SuperFix is only 35mm wide, has the same height (140mm) and is 10mm shorter in length than a SD2000 Minelab control housing (110mm). It is intended to mount on the right hand side of a Minelab detector when viewed from the rear so it's power connections and Master Power switch are accessible from the rear along with the inbuilt speaker On/Off switch and Stereo Disc. headphone jacks.  --  The Minelab\SuperFix Mode switch, a Sensitivity control, a Threshold control, and the High/Low Tone Channel selection switch are situated on the front panel.

SuperFix - the advantages far outweigh the cost.

The above photograph shows how SuperFix attaches to SD & GP model detectors as seen from the rear.
