The Golden Triangle

The Golden Triangle region of Victoria sits on the Northern most area of the Central Goldfields region. With the base of the triangle beginning from the township of Avoca marking the South West point, and then forming a line to the City of Castlemaine at the South East point, with both points meeting at the apex of the triangle at the township of Wedderburn to the North. The region encompasses an area of 9,400 square kilometres and has produced some of the greatest gold finds in the world to this time.
