Finders gold / metal detector modifications:

For the past 19 years firstly as "Ken Roberts Sales & Service" and then as "Finders Pty. Ltd." trading as "Finders" we have been the leading detector repair and modification service in Australia. In the early days of electronic gold prospecting, Ken Roberts was the first ever to modify many brands of the detectors that were being imported at that time for Australian ground conditions. As a hands on prospector residing in the heart of the famous Golden Triangle Ken also introduced many new prospecting accessories and techniques. Many of these ideas are now standard on modern detectors. Since these early days we have consistently been the leaders in our industry for both innovation and customer service. 	Minelab SD2000 Modifications The Audio Signal Response Modification gives the audio as heard by the operator a faster recovery time providing a sharper signal over the target for clearer recognition. The Frequency Sensitivity Modification increases the detectors sensitivity to small targets. The four frequencies are selected from a switch with the number one position being the original SD2000 setting. Sensitivity over small targets increases as the switch is advanced towards number four.   Audio Signal Response 55.00 4 Frequency Sensitivity 209.00

Sending Modifications:

While there are many methods of sending gold/metal detector repairs and/or modifications to Finders we recommend the following method. Firstly for detector repairs always send both the control box and searchcoil, also include batteries, battery holders hip-mount cables etc. so we can test the complete unit (the stems are not necessary if difficult to pack) for detector modifications contact Finders for details about components required. For detectors and all other items we recommend the following method of packaging.

• Package in a cardboard carton with plenty of crumpled newspaper or other soft packaging material between the outer sides and the detector, also making sure each separate item is separated so they cannot scuff.
• Make sure you clearly include your name and address and return shipping orders, then mail via Australia Post to Finders at the address shown below, ( insure if valuable ).
• Also include a clear description for our technicians of what you think the problem is, especially the symptoms we should look for.
• Unless arranged otherwise, for repairs within Australia, Finders will return by Australia Post COD for the cost of the repairs and return postage ( plus insurance if requested ).
