So next month will Melbourne be on stage 3c water saving rules, because they better do something or there aint ganna be any water left its dropping about .5% per week and with only 26% capacity left.
Decell plant not even started yet and need another power station to run it and now the gov want to dam the ABERFELDY RIVER ( its running about 3 feet wide ) they are running a pipe over from the goulburn river and there is stuff all water in that as well.
Have your say should Melbourne be on level 5 restrictions now or should they run out of water first.
I THINK I MITE START BYING SOME WATER TANKERS.

Well Tim Holding says in the news today that they are not going to ease up on the population growth of Melbourne because of water.
Well I got news for the stupid prick, they can't go to a another planet to get water the way they are going in the cities and towns of Victoria, they will very soon down to buckets.

The cities are becoming rotten with violence due to this uncontrolled growth.

If you watch Chris Martenson crash course, you will understand why they can not stop the growth,it will all just collapse.

Geelong has been on stage 4 for a couple of years now. This year they are linking Geelong water to Melbourne water supply.
The water they think they can take from the Goulbourn is so instead of growing food Melbourne can wash its driveways..
Bloody idiots..
A pipe to QLD and top of NSW would help a bit more than one to a dry river.
Kill a couple of dams t Cuddy station in QLd and let the monsoon rain back into the darling system will help quite a lot as well .
Ban these multinational bastards from growing cotton free's up a lot of water, Stop logging in water catchment area's.
No bloody flouride in out water you bastards..
Sorry guys, rant over.
too many fuggin idiots with no-idea in charge of things they havent got a clue about.

G'day foot69,

How about the water that goes to waste and floods East Gippsland on a regular basis?

There has been quite a few have suggested damming the Macalister,Mitchell or Tambo Rivers, and piping it into the river system over the range.
Last time I was down in the vicinity of the Goulburn Riv. (Echuca) system the water levels where down drastically ( and the signs saying "No pipeline" where everywhere.)Dec 08/Jan09.

One of the guys prospecting in NE Vic posted on Finders pictures of a river (Tambo(?)) before and during flooding last year, - bloody hell it must have been up 50'.

But then Brumby won't dam, and particularly won't dam a river that goes through a National Park. That would upset his essential green voters.
Then maybe they don't want Phoscheck (fire retardant), top soil and ash in their water supply. (Remember Licola)

I was talking to a chap from gippsland and he said that the thomson dam is so low that islands are appearing and they are having trouble getting the water out and that it is much lower than they are letting on.
The only thing that will bring them to there to wake up is for Melbourne to run out of water and that is on the cards,a another el nino is forming.
The population of Melbourne has got to be stopped.
How can we reduce our carbon output when we are increasing the population.it is all B.S they know that if we stop we are stuffed and if we keep going we get the same result.

Well the Thompson dam is very low at present I have just supplied a contractor with items who was working along side with Melbourne water to install much larger pumps as the water will no longer flow from the dam because its so low.
They are also talking about installing pontoons in the lake with pumps on them so they can pump water from the low spots. The lake is so low and has been for so long that the wattle trees 100mtrs or so below the high water mark are about 12 inches in diameter , the problem being our water rates keep going up but the price of water stays the same it should be the other way around ( user pays , pay for what you use ).
It wont be long before my water supply Moondarra is tapped into to supply those driveway washers, logging in catchment streams I dont understand it , parts of the US they run all the scrap timber back through a chipper and back onto the forrest floor to slow water run off and silt.
I dont know what the outcome will be but it doesnt look good we got around 15mm of rain on saturday and sunday. I was kicking stones around in the old Marble quarry area on the Thompson river and I can tell you that the scrub is still bone dry.

Logging in catchment is more about the amount of water growing tree's will use before you get any runoff.

Rates keep going up to pay executive bonuses, millions of dollars to shareholders and nothing for R&D.

The thing i dont get is why build the so called north/south pipe line to Melbourne when we have farmers taking there own lives simply for a severe lack of water,is it so that people in the city can have an hour shower instead of 45 minutes,Ah hang on theres more votes in the city thats right if those no brain dumb ass mother f$cken c@nts in spring street had any common sense they would recycle our storm water for farming use.I live in melbourne and can say in the southern suburbs we get a fair amount of rain and it all hits the concrete jungle floods the roads and goes strait into ppb.I believe the north/south pipe line is nothing less than taking from who need it most and giving it to people who really dont give a f@ck but who complain when the price of bread and milk go up. f#ck

G'day YBR,
I never got down south!
My camper rusted out on me, and the one I bought needed plenty of work inside to fit my coils and stuff, been raining most days, so progress has been slooow.

I'll give you a PM when things are finished and I'm heading that way. Wink

This is a ploy - I can sense it. This is an excuse to ALLOW you Victorians onto our Goldfeilds using the old "Oh, we're only looking for water" line.

The oldest trick in the book.
