ByeBuys:
ByeBuys is Finders FREE on-line Web Auction Site which brings both prospective sellers and buyers together in the market place; it is free of any charges to either party for standard auction listings. There is a small listing fee for classified, featured, front featured, gallery featured, bold, and highlighted listings. You may upload 2 images each no larger than 60Kb free of charge, after which it will cost AU$1.00 for each additional image. There are no third parties involved, if an item sells then the final sale is transacted directly between the parties involved.
In making this site available for general use Finders does not offer or imply any warranty or protection to either the seller or the buyer. Finders merely provides this free venue as a means of bringing together, both willing buyers and sellers (who are completely unknown to Finders) so they may trade accordingly, and therefore normal commercial care should be exercised by both participating parties.
Use of this site is strictly on the condition that those who choose to use the facility do so at their own risk, and agree to indemnify and hold Finders free from any liability that may arise from any trade between participating parties, or for any other reason that may eventuate.
First you must Register:
Registered users may place items up for auction and may bid on other user's items. To register, you must provide your name, an address, and your email address. You must be 18 years or older.
When selling an item, you may enter a description of the item, upload a photograph, and indicate the minimum bid and a reserve price for the item. You also indicate what payments you will accept and whether you or the buyer will pay shipping.
Sellers are notified by email when an auction is concluded. If a winner exists, the winner and seller are provided each other's contact information so that they may complete the transacion to their mutual satisfaction.
Items advertised for sale on this site may not include:
* Sales or promotion of material containing violent content, racial intolerance or advocacy against any individual, group or organisation
* Sales or promotion of material containing any Pornography, adult or mature content
* Sales or promotion of material containing any Hacking/cracking content
* Sales or promotion of Illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia
* Sales or promotion of material containing Gambling or casino-related content
* Sales or promotion of weapons or ammunition (e.g. firearms, fighting knives, stun guns)
* Sales or promotion of beer or hard alcohol
* Sales or promotion of tobacco or tobacco-related products
* Sales or promotion of prescription drugs
* Sales or promotion of products that are replicas or imitations of designer goods
* Sales or distribution of term papers or student essays
* Any other content that is illegal, promotes illegal activity or infringes on the legal rights of others
Buyers:
You must be a registered to place a bid.
To bid on an item, type your bid amount in the box next to the item description, and click the 'GO' button. Your bid must be above the Minimum Bid amount specified in the box.
You will be asked to confirm your bid. Fill in your username and password and click 'SUBMIT' to complete your bid.
To register as a new user, click on Register at the top of the window. You will be asked for your name, a username and password, and contact information, including your email address.
Sellers:
To sell an item, you must be a registered user.
Click on 'Sell an Item' at the top of the window to create a new auction. Indicate the title and description of your item, and choose a graphic image from your local hard drive if you wish to upload a picture of the item.
Specify the minimum bid and reserve price (optional) for your auction, and what types of payment you will accept. While this site allows you to specify payment methods, it does not process the payment for you.
Choose the category in which your item should be. You may suggest a new category, but you must select an existing category for your new auction.
Establishing a credit with ByeBuys
Once you have your registered user name and you wish to utilise any of the featured listing options for which a small fee is charged, you may find it convenient to establish a credit balance for your ByeBuys account by making an intial deposit (depending on your expected usage, say $10.00-$20.00). Any credit balance on your account will be automatically debited for any of the (smaller amount) featured advertisment fees you may require.
