Receiving Merchant Payments Online

Manual Online to Online Payments:-

Accepting Credit Card Payments

There are some other secure methods of accepting credit card payments online which can be instigated from a "Buy it Now" button or similar link placed on a page of an ecommerce website. Once the secure Credit card Information has been received by the merchant it can then be manually processsed using an existing merchant account as described below.

This method of entering Credit Card details manually provides the merchant with the opportunity to make any checks that may be considered prudent, thus avoiding much of the fraud encountered with fully automated systems.

Secure Order Form
Many webhosts have a shared SSL certificate facility which can be used by a merchant to provide a secure order form on their website into which customers enter their Credit Card and delivery details.
