Laanecoorie
Laanecoorie Spillway in floodLaanecoorie offers the visitor a distinct change of scene compared with the other drier Goldfields regions as both the Laanecoorie Reservoir and the Loddon River with its nearby tranquil surrounds provide a habitat to a large variety of water birds including pelicans. On a hot day the Loddon River's banks with it's shady red gums are a delightful place to spend the hours just relaxing, fishing, or with a good book.
